Kind couple steps in after seeing a skinny beach dog being mistreated by local restaurant owners who just wanted her gone: ‘[She was] trying to find somewhere to stay, get some water or food.’

All dogs deserve love and compassion from people. But not all people deserve the love and compassion of a dog. Luckily for this one sweet stray doggo, she got from the latter situation to the former.

When we hear about a dog being mistreated, we can go mad. Our minds cannot comprehend the depths of deplorable behavior some people demonstrate towards animals. Especially when it comes to such a pure and friendly animal as a dog. Our hearts can't deal with the fact that the sweet soul of a dog might be in pain. And that's what this next dog has experienced. We're happy to know that's all behind her now, but thinking about what she needed to endure while being a stray dog makes us sad.

But let's talk about the happy ending this dog got, to puplift the spirits and make room in the heart for this adorable adoption story. Because just as we say in one breath that no dog should be mistreated, we also say that every dog pawrent knows that a happy adoption makes our hearts sing. It doesn't matter how low a dog starts (or not at all, even), they all deserve the high-up ending: warm bed, full food bowl, hands ready for pets and hugs, and a kind place to call home.

Looking at her in this picture, we can understand that the dog was in rough shape. We can't even bring ourselves to write the usual “ruff” pun, because this is a truly difficult situation, not to be joked about. She is skinny, dirty, her fur is misshapen, and the look in her eyes is of absolute sadness. Seeing a dog like that makes you understand what a dog in need of help looks like. And just so it goes, this sweet dog got exactly the help she needed.

Look at that glow-up! What a beauty, full of floof and smiles. Our hearts expand seeing the “after” picture. This dog today looks like a hybrid of a glittery 70s' model and a soft cloud on a spring afternoon. She's healthy, she's happy, and she has a family of humans and doggos who love her.

Exactly what we were talking about before - all dog people and animal lovers have a very sensitive spot for when it comes to the well-being of our pets, and other animals, being disregarded by other people. These other people, who do such horrible things to other living beings (no matter that they're not human), don't deserve an ounce of a dog's love, or any animal love at all.
